HOW MUCH IS DIVING?
Throughout Asia the prices seem to be around $50 for two dives; a little more at the more exclusive destinations and of course a little cheaper at the more competitive locations. However, what is happening in Vietnam is confusing. In Nha Trang in particular there are a few dive shops offering two boat dives, with all equipment and lunch for around $25. This is just too cheap, but equally as confusing some are as expensive as $75. With such a wide gap how can these operators justify the higher cost and what does that Dive Center do differently from others for the extra? With suspisciously low prices how can operators really expect to convince their divers that that all necessary safety precautions are in place, their equipment is top quality, their staff speak English, are properly trained and environmentally friendly or even that their air is being filtered correctly? Simple, they can't or they mislead you. Luckily most divers recognise it for what it is and avoid them, after all there is a reputable operator in Nha Trang who offers the latest start, the longest dives, the smallest groups and a Five Star service for a fair amount.
WHY PAY MORE FOR LESS?
Look for PADI Five Star Dive Centers, they are recognised worldwide as offering a higher level of quality & service so before you decide on your dive operator, do some research, Google the Dive Center and read reports and travel blogs from other divers on websites such as Trip Advisor & Lonely Planet. Do a background check on Dive Centers that mislead you into or offer you an unrecognised, obscure certification course you don't want or "Free Accommodation" & "Couch Surfing" as you never know who you may be staying with!

Unfortunatley there are Dive Centers in Nha Trang that are not genuine PADI Dive Centers but advertise as such to take advantage of the PADI brand but fail to operate at standards required for acceptance as a PADI Dive Center. PADI list all Dive Centers & Instructors that have been expelled or are mis-representing themselves as PADI Dive Centers on their website, you can find it at Consumer Alerts. You can find a list of genuine PADI Authorised Dive Centers on their website, you can find them listed at Locate a Dive Shop You can also check if your PADI Instructor is a current PADI member and qualified & authorised to teach you by going to Check a PADI members credentials
Although we teach exclusively PADI courses there are other options in Nha Trang. Scuba Schools International also list genuine SSI Dealers on their website, you can find them listed at Dealer Search SSI Instructors are only authorised to teach SSI courses exclusively through SSI Dealers and are required to be affiliated with a specific Dive Center. You can also check if your SSI Instructor is a current SSI member and qualified & authorised to teach you by going to Dive Professional Verification
Just because you see a PADI or SSI logo on the dive center store front or on a staff T-Shirt it doesn't mean they are authorised to offer or teach PADI or SSI Diver Training. It's 2013, everyone has access to the internet, if you were Sky Diving would you choose the cheapest parachute?
For booking and further information: Ideally, it's best to drop by in person at least one day before to sign up, show us your certification card (where required), finalise payment and you'll be ready to go the next morning.
We limit the spaces available on our boat for everyone's comfort and enjoyment so you are advised to book early to avoid dissapointment. If you want to dive the same day as you arrive in Nha Trang you are advised to make a provisional booking by email. Email bookings for PADI courses would need to have a deposit pre-paid via PayPal as a guarantee.
We are sorry, we don't accept bookings by telephone.
We accept payment in Vietnam Dong only. Please add 4% if paying with Visa or Mastercard
We are based at Sailing Club Nha Trang, 72 - 74 Beachside Tran Phu and are open from 7.30am until 8.00pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year including holidays.
Please Note: Bookings made through Mia Nha Trang Resort & Spa are subject to an additional charge for return mini bus transfers, a booking fee plus service charge and Government Tax.
Bookings made through Evason Ana Mandara Resort & Spa are subject to a booking fee plus service charge & Government Tax.

A word of advice: Vietnam does not have the strict dive safety regulations most western countries take for granted. Make sure you check the dive operator you choose before embarking on your dive adventure. The cheapest option may not always be the safest option.
