Sailing Club Divers' daily trips start at 7.45am from our main office and transfer by taxi or air-con bus to the local port, and finish at around 2pm. Our trip to our first dive site in the Hon Mun Marine Protected Area takes 45 minutes. Dive groups for certified divers are kept small, up to a maximum of only two or four divers per PADI Professional. Discover Scuba Diving is conducted one to one and PADI courses are a maximum of two students to one PADI Instructor.
All dive equipment, hot coffee, hot chocolate, mineral water, fresh fruits, a freshly prepared lunch on board and return transfer to the office are included in the price.
All Boat Safety, Dive Briefings and Head Counts are conducted in English. PADI Professionals using dive computers lead all fun dives and PADI courses. All Aqualung & Mares regulators include Alternate Air Source and console with submersible pressure gauge and depth gauge. We also have childrens BCD's and regulators with small mouthpieces. We use 3mm full wetsuits all year round but have 5mm full wetsuits & hoods on request. Prescription lens masks are also available. A PADI professional is in control and supervising all activities at all times.
We all speak English, Dom speaks Japanese & of course many staff speak Vietnamese. We currently employ a Dive Team of two English, one Australian & two Vietnamese PADI Instructors, one Vietnamese PADI Assistant Instructor and one Vietnamese PADI Divemaster.

Throughout Asia the prices seem to be around $50 for two dives; a little more at the more exclusive destinations and of course a little cheaper at the more competitive locations. However, what is happening in Vietnam is confusing. In Nha Trang in particular there are a few dive shops offering two boat dives, with all equipment and lunch for around $30. This is just too cheap, but equally as confusing some are as expensive as $75. With such a wide gap how can these operators justify the higher cost and what does that Dive Center do differently from others for the extra? With suspisciously low prices how can operators really expect to convince their divers that that all necessary safety precautions are in place, their equipment is top quality, their staff speak English, are properly trained and environmentally friendly or even that their air is being filtered correctly? Simple, they can't or they mislead you. Luckily most divers recognise it for what it is and avoid them, after all there is a reputable operator in Nha Trang who offers the latest start, the longest dives, the smallest groups and a Five Star service for a fair amount.
WHY PAY MORE FOR LESS?
Look for PADI Five Star Dive Centers, they are recognised worldwide as offering a higher level of quality & service so before you decide on your dive operator, do some research, Google the Dive Center and read reports and travel blogs from other divers on websites such as Trip Advisor & Lonely Planet. Unfortunately the dive industry is not always staffed by well-meaning professionals. Just because you see a PADI logo on the dive center store front or on a staff t-shirt it doesn't mean they are authorised to offer or teach PADI Diver Training. Check first.
